Thirteen years of designing, testing and touring brought us back to the trailer that started it all. The Gen3 X1 combines a structural aluminium body, all new Trinamic™ Core suspension and an integrated modular tent in a compact, lightweight camper. Proudly Australian made.

Four colours. New bodywork.
The familiar squared-off X1 silhouette returns with powersports-inspired bodywork, a wider stance and a composite front end. Choose Volcano, Arctic, Desert or Wildfire to suit your tow vehicle. All four colours are standard.

A return to laser-cut decals, paired with new cast-alloy badges. Recognisably Patriot, right down to the details.

The embossed front panels can be replaced individually, without replacing the complete front end.

Rear MOLLE panels are standard. Optional side-mounted panels add mounting points for bags, tools and accessories.

17 × 9 alloy wheels with 285/70R17 mud-terrain tyres.

FOUR COLOURS

Australian designed and manufactured
The Gen3 X1 is designed as one integrated unit: body, chassis and suspension. The lightest Rigilite™ chassis yet supports a powder-coated structural aluminium body, with Aerojoin weldless assembly reducing the need for welded joints.

The redesigned Rigilite™ chassis balances weight with strength. Finite element analysis (FEA) informed the design, with suspension integrated into the chassis.

The DO35 hitch allows articulation between the trailer and tow vehicle. A fixed swivel jockey wheel stays attached when it is folded into its travel position.

A steel rear scrub bar, pronounced chassis rails and underbody bash guards protect the underside. The spare wheel is mounted higher beneath the body to improve ground clearance.

An electric fan draws filtered air into the compartments to create positive pressure and reduce dust ingress. The filter is accessible for routine servicing.

Twin stabiliser legs let you level the trailer at camp without adjusting airbag suspension.

Twin recovery points are integrated into the rear chassis. A separate rear hitch receiver accommodates compatible bike racks and accessory carriers.

Lockable latches, simple hinges and door support cables keep everyday access straightforward. A double seal on the angled front box helps reduce dust ingress.

3.7 m long × 1.95 m wide
The travel height is 1.9 m, with a 36° departure angle. Base tare is 895 kg (1,973 lb) and ATM is 1,495 kg (3,296 lb). That leaves 600 kg (1,323 lb) of base payload for options, water, gas and luggage.

Trinamic™ Core is built around the X1’s lighter weight and lower centre of gravity. Its triangulated radius-arm layout reduces unsprung weight, with radius rods controlling toe and camber and 200 mm of suspension travel. Coilover shocks are standard.

Electric-over-hydraulic braking operates 285 mm discs. Standard 285/70R17 mud-terrain tyres are mounted on 17 × 9 wheels. The body also accommodates compatible aftermarket 35-inch tyres.

Standard coilover shocks work with the Trinamic™ Core radius-arm layout. Lower unsprung weight reduces the mass the shocks need to control over corrugations.

Developed through our partnership with Fulcrum and Formula. Adjustable damping lets you tune the shocks to your load and track conditions, while separate reservoirs help manage heat over sustained corrugations.

Underbody spare-wheel storage keeps the spare outside the main compartments.

There’s a place for everything. The L-shaped kitchen keeps preparation benches, the cooker, sink and pantry within reach of one position. Stainless-steel benchtops, dedicated utensil storage and a slide-out cutting board give you room to cook without using the fridge as a bench.

A 100L tank supplies pressurised water to the taps. A 10L electric hot-water system and external shower are standard, with an insulated tank to retain heat between uses.

A slide-out fridge tray sits beside the kitchen. Dometic 75L and myCOOLMAN 78L fridge/freezer options are available; market availability differs.

The optional swing-away brings a barbecue into the kitchen area. A Weber Q1000 is available separately and requires the swing-away.

The optional slide lowers a compatible portable toilet from its storage compartment. Toilets are shown for illustration only and are not available from Patriot.

Pantry shelves, a spice rack, cutlery storage, two utensil compartments and a tea-towel rail keep the essentials beside the cooking area.

Hard-wearing stainless-steel benchtops and a removable cutting board that slides out beneath the fridge tray give you a dedicated prep area.

Gas cooking is standard. The cooker slides out beneath the pantry, with a gas-bottle hook for use at camp.

Roof lighting illuminates the cooking area after dark, with the hardlid open or closed.

A 100L tank supplies pressurised water to the taps. Built-in breathers help with filling, and the water gauge lets you check the supply.

A 300W element heats the 10L storage tank. Insulation helps retain heat between uses, with an external shower for washing at camp.

Electric hardlid. Integrated sleeping area.
The Gen3 X1 combines an electric hardlid with an integrated modular tent. The lid opens without manual lifting and closes over the tent, mattress and bedding for travel. Add a Change Room or Multi-room as your camping setup grows.

The 2030 × 1520 mm high-density foam mattress sits above a 6 mm anti-condensation mat. Ventilation panels and integrated lighting are built into the tent.

The standard awning covers the kitchen and adjacent camp area. LED lights and fold-down support poles are integrated, with guy ropes for securing the awning.

Tear-stop fabric and weather sealing protect the sleeping area. External bows and camlock-and-pulley ropes keep the supporting frame accessible during setup and pack-down.

Raise and lower the structural aluminium hardlid electrically from the driver-side switch. The closed lid contains the tent, mattress and bedding for travel.

An integrated staircase and handrail provide access to the bed. Internal pockets, lighting and accessory ports keep clothing, toiletries and devices within reach.

Add a Change Room for privacy or a single-pole Multi-room for extra sleeping space. Both have PVC floors, and the Multi-room requires the Change Room.

The freestanding 270° awning shelters the kitchen and BBQ area. Fold-down poles are integrated into the arms, with guy ropes for securing the awning.

Integrated 12V lighting has remote control, with cool and warm modes for cooking and relaxing beneath the awning.

Warm air is supplied to the sleeping area, with a control panel beside the bed for adjusting the temperature overnight. With high altitude mode for altitudes above 1500m.

Add a Change Room, then a Multi-room for extra sleeping space. Both have PVC floors. The Multi-room requires the Change Room.

Standard integrated tent and awning.

Approximately 2,000L across the camper
Every space. Every surface. Compartments, drawers and external mounting points make use of the X1’s compact footprint. A standard rear storage slide brings bulky gear within reach, while wet-storage boxes keep damp equipment separate from the internal compartments.

The rear storage slide is standard. It extends from the body for loading and access to bulky equipment.

The front rack carries firewood outside the sealed compartments. Gas-bottle holders accommodate 4.5 kg / 9 lb bottles.

Rear MOLLE panels are standard. Optional side-mounted panels add mounting points for bags, tools and accessories.

Keep damp and dirty gear separate from food, clothing and other equipment in the internal compartments.

Manually operated LED lights let you find stored gear after dark without returning to the main control panel.

Dedicated holders keep 4.5 kg / 9 lb gas bottles within easy reach.

Cushion compartment floors against scratches and impacts while helping stop stored gear from sliding around.
